Signed up for spring classes today!!

Chem 6: basically required, so not much choice in that one haha. BUT I looked up the professors on the online student-run course guide and the reviews for both professors gave them amazingly high reviews, so either way it will be great!!

Seminar--Shakespeare on Film: OMG so excited for this one. Focuses on Macbeth, Henry V, and Twelfth Night (!!) and the various film adaptations for each. Seems soooo good and Natalia's in it as well :) I hope we get to watch She's the Man.

Ethnomusicology: focusing on folk and popular music of South Asia, including Bollywood, Bhangra, etc. In the words of Lauren: "Who are you, Nikki?!?!" Mostly taking it cause I need to take a music history course as a prereq for the Music FSP.

Speaking of Music FSP, turned in my app! Along with some awesome people (Paul, Shannon, Matt, Remy) and some others I will learn to love haha. I really really hope I get it cause I would LOVE to go to Austria and just spend a whole quarter on music. IT WOULD BE AMAZING!!

Other trips...SPRING BREAK!!! Going to Zion Canyon with Cabin and Trail :) Roadtripping for 40 hours out, backpacking for as long as we can, then roadtripping back just in time for spring quarter :D I AM SO EXCITED FOR IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is pretty awesome, trying to figure out when I'm going to take all of my classes (maybe fit in a chem minor?) without dying of labs (all three classes with labs during one quarter??? FML junior year haha) The next couple weekends will be pretty fun. This upcoming weekend is Winter Carnival (each term there is a big party weekend, Homecoming in the fall, Winter Carnival in the winter [duh], and Green Key in the spring). There is a snow sculpture of the Colesseum (spell?) in the middle of the Green since the theme is "I came, I saw, I carnivaled." Should be super fun, skiing is really cheap, lots of skating, as well as the Polar Bear Plunge (they cut a hole in Occom Pond and you jump in and swim a couple feet...with a cable attached so they can pull you out if you freeze haha.) This weekend is also Barbary Coast Jazz Ensemble concert! Yay Paul and Grant! Next weekend is Grant Weekend! Hopefully I should be able to go, especially since I loved Grant Weekend last term. And then that Sunday is Wind Symphony Concert! Yay Paul and Andrew! Following weekend is LAUREN COMES TO VISIT and DSO CONCERT!!!! BEST WEEKEND COMBINATION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, really need to go to neuro right now
