SORRY that I've been missing! Too much work + too much fun stuff = no time to blog

Some stuff that has happened:

-First set of midterms (well not technically midterms since I have 3 tests in each class...so closer to a triterm I suppose): went pretty well for Psych, and Chem went better than expected (which isn't saying too much) because the practice test scared me into believing that I was going to fail. I don't have midterms in Writing, just bi-weekly papers and in-class writing, but all of that is going pretty well. My floormate Chris is in the class and we were talking about how awesome the class is because it is so typical "college": sitting around discussing the big issues with technology and attention and what has happened to our world...so great.

-Chem labs: I love having lab at 8 in the morning (WHAAAAT?!) cause it doesn't interfere with my normal day to day stuff...the other labs are from 2-6 which is like prime homework/eating time for me haha. But 8-12 is usually when I sleep/go to class so it's a much better tradeoff and gets me started on the day early. I like the labs we've done so far and my TA is AWESOME. Justin is pretty much my hero in life haha.

-Damaris's birthday!!: Yesterday was Damaris's 19th birthday and we went out to dinner to Molly's. The waiter was pretty cute and it was SO funny to watch everyone's face when he would come by hahaha. Anne, Jing, and I went shopping the day before and Natalia went shopping when she took a trip to Boston, so we had lots of presents that were perfect :). After dinner, the real surprise came. We took her back to Brittle Lounge cause Jing "made her cookies and even though we'd already eaten dessert, can we go pick them up to take to her room?" I had sent out an email earlier that week to tell basically all of Damaris's closest friends to be waiting in Brittle for us, so when she came up the stairs, it was like classic surprise party!! She was so happy she cried :) it was the best party ever!! I was surprised at the turnout (Robbie from our floor from Bermuda who rarely comes to anything?) but it was SO GREAT!!

After the party, much sporcling commenced. Andrew texted me to wake up at 3:30 am to watch the Australian Open finals, but I opted for sleep instead. I got "what the f" in response hahaha. Thanks Andrew...

-Hockey game v. Princeton: firstly...PUCK FRINCETON! Haha that was the motto for the game, which is our biggest rivalry in hockey. I realized while watching the game that I know little to none about the rules of hockey. However, I did get to sit front row with Paul, Jing, Andrew, Grant, and Odochi which was awesome. Paul gets SO into games that it's hilarious. When the ref would skate by he'd yell, "DO YOU TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT SIR?!!!!??" And the whole crowd was sooo rowdy. Whenever Dartmouth scores a goal, it's tradition to throw tennis balls on the ice but the refs called our first goal not a goal, so the whole crowd retaliated by throwing tennis balls anyway. One ref even hid in the goal to avoid getting hit hahaha. There was also the usual taunting...the Princeton goalie's name was Zane, so the whole crowd would chant "ZAAAAAAA-AAAANNNNEEE" or "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" or random things like "YOUR PARENTS DON'T LOVE YOU ZANE!" Also, there were guys with DARTMOUTH! painted on their chests and F PRINCETON on their backs haha. I love the school spirit! (Even if we did lose :/ )

Though this quarter is a lot more work than the last, I'm having enough fun to more than enough make up for it :) New goal: call home more often.
